I went to Vancouver for Halloween and to do a photo show.

My friend lent me her apartment because she was down in LA becoming a movie star.  I think that is supposed to be her in this drawing.

At the Astoria on karaoke night this is how they display the songs.  Just a complete mess of random, unorganized, sometimes sideways song titles spread out on the pool table.

That's Wendy there on the right.  She runs the Astoria and is running for city council.
(ps. they are all dancing to "New York, New York.")

We always eat breakfast at this cafe and they always have the worst crap on the walls, but I liked this Pink Panther thing.  It was like a photo printed on canvase with a painting over it.  Very arts and craftsty and psychotic.

And all Halloween decorations are good.

This fence is actually a gallery, and is repainted every month by a different artist.  Matt Aiken did this one.  That Reaper is like 25 feet tall.  Across the street is a Gospel Mission that gives out food to the homeless.  They line up for hours to get a hot meal.  Brutal.

My show was at a store/gallery called 'Goon Pack'.  (All the prints are 27x40 inches)

Dan helped organize the show.  There's Matt Aiken over there in the leather, and that's Jason McLean on the right.

Halloween is really almost a week long.

Jeremy was a McMilkshake on Friday...

 and a McFrench-fry on Saturday!

There was a big halloween rock show in S.T.R.E.E.T.S. new jam space 'Gnarnia.'

The head waitress.

Josh Wells.

This is me.  I was an escaped mental patient who had torn out his own eyes.

Su and Johnny.

Jack O'Lantern.

Rosemary.

Dan as his evil twin.

Some of Black Mountain and Super Steve.

Shawn.

Mapee.

S.T.R.E.E.T.S.

Su and some ruby red.

We went back to Gnarnia to help clean up.  It looks pretty good in these photos, but it was disgusting.  Kim Krans did the mural on the wall.

There were bits of costumes all over the place.

Wreck beach in the rain.

The next night was actually Halloween, and Jake had a "Scary Night" at his new corner store.  He really owns a real corner store.

He sells things like this:

Keegan and Smee.

The next morning Johnny's house got some sort of court summons due to the recent selling of the property and back rent and blah blah blah...  After a weekend of parties, letters like this literally seem like gibberish from another dimension.

That's Rick McCranks face as a mask.  It's a prop for a movie that all these kids have been working on over the past few months, directed by Cory Adams.  Definite cult classic in the making...

Jeffro.
